It's all about buying more and more expensive gifts.
It's about spending more and more money.
Getting into more and more debt.
Most importantly, we seem to be spending more time living up to society's expectations than spending time with our family and friends.
Society's expectations have robbed us of the joy of Christmas, changing it from a time of Peace on Earth to a period of Stress on Earth.
Worst of all, the true meaning of Christmas seems to have been lost and Jesus has been pushed out of the picture.
Nowadays, however, Christmas seems to have lost its meaning.

My wife spent her time worrying that she had not spent enough money on gifts for her extended family.
Jesus didn't even get a look in.
So I decided to do something about it.
Drawing from my traditional upbringing as the son of an Anglican vicar and my contemporary work as a worship leader and songwriter in a modern, free church here in the UK, I created a set of readings and daily prayers for every day in December right up to Christmas day.
It transformed our Advent last year and so I packaged it up for you, so that you too can transform you and your family's Christmas.

25 Daily Readings, prayers and guided meditations to help you keep Christ as your main focus this Christmas.
Each liturgy should take less than five minutes. Most take less than three minutes, although of course you can customise them to your own needs. You may want to read the Bible reading slower, or incorporate the liturgy into your longer quiet time. If you are simply listening to the audio in the car and praying along, then each liturgy will take no more than five minutes.

Like most traditional liturgies there are bold sections that are prayed by everyone and other sections that are said by whoever is leading the liturgy. If you are doing this with family, or with a group of friends, I would suggest taking it in turns to read the Bible passage and take it in turns to lead each liturgy. This adds a great sense of community to the experience!
